Halley Comet ( Update 23/12/2011)




1.Hello Halley's Comet. ( the boy is 10 years old)           2. Hello again, Halley's Comet. ( the boy become an old man ,62 years old)        3. Halley Comet come  back to earth but the old man already not there.


Haley Comet founded  by Edmond  Halley at year 1531. It come to earth about 75 to 76 years. In year 1986 Halley Comet come back to earth again. It will come back at year 2062.

 Comets are also known to break up unto fragments, as happened with Comet 73P/ Schwassmann-Wachmann3 starting in 1995. This breakup may be triggered by tidal gravitational forces from the Sun or a large planet,by an" explosion" of volatile material, or for other reasons not fully explained.

Technology Around Us

Technology is important in everyday life. Imagine life without technology.
Look at some examples of technology shown in the video clip.


Human are able to overcome their limitations. Devices are used to overcome the limitations and problems faced by humans.
   
  Examples :  Unable to see the fine details of an object.
                   - telescope,microscope, magnifying glass, 


                   Unable to speak loud enough to someone to hear
                    - megaphone, microphone, telephone
                          
                   Unable to walk long distances.
                    - aeroplane, train, car, bus, taxi


Technology in Communication


  Telegraph and devices such as the telephone allow humans to
     communicate with each other in far away places.
  Today, these devices are known as telecommunication technology.
     Examples : computer, satellite, teleconferencing, handphone,
                     fax machine 

Technology In Transportation

    Besides land transport, humans also develope better and faster  
        water and air transport. These devices shorten the 
        travelling time.


Technology In Construction
   A long time ago, humans lived in caves and built houses from
       clay and parts of plants. However, these shelters were not
       safe. They were nit strong and were easily destroyed.
  Today, most houses are built using bricks, concrete,
       and steel. These materials are stronger.
  Humans are now able to build bigger and taller buildings.
       examples : terrace houses, bungalow, apartments,
                       condominium


Technology is invented to solve problems in our daily life.
Technology can benefit mankind if used wisely.

Unit 2 Manusia Bernafas/ Humans Breathe ( Update blog )


Humans Breathe/ Manusia bernafas
( Dalam unit 2, Murid Tahun 4 akan belajar mengenai cara/ proses pernafasan manusia)

In unit 1, we learnt that humans need air to breathe.  In unit 2, We learn about humans breathe.When we breathe, we inhale ( take in ) and exhale ( let out ) air. How can we tell ? Our chest moves up and down. The number of chest movement is the rate of  breathing.      
As we inhale, the chest rises outwards and upwards causing the chest to expand. The air is taken in through the nose, down the windpipe into the lungs. this air contains more oxygen.
As we exhale, the chest moves in causing the chest to contract. The air inside the lungs then flows out from the lung to the windpipe and then out through the nose.

Proses pernafasan manusia adalah seperti berikut:

 Keperluan asas haiwan ialah : udara, air, makanan dan tempat perlindungan.

Owls hunt mostly small mammalsinsects, and other birds, although a few species specialize in hunting fish. They are found in all regions of the Earth except Antarctica, most ofGreenland and some remote islands. Though owls are typically solitary, the literary collective nounfor a group of owls is a parliament. Living owls are divided into two families: the typical owls, Strigidae; and the barn-owls, Tytonidae.

Our Solar System
1 . The Sun and the nine planets are part of the Solar System. 
2.  The nine planets are :
                          Mercury , Venus ,  Earth ,  Mars , 
                         Jupiter ,  Saturn , Uranus , Neptune & Pluto


3.  The Sun is in the centre of the Solar System. 
4.  All the nine planets move around the Sun in a large oval path.
5.  The planets also spin by itself.
6.  Planets Pluto moves around The Sun on a different plane.
  - Its path is different from other  planets.
7.  The Earth take one year to go round the Sun.
8.  Jupiter is the largest planet in Solar System. 
  - It is so big that all the planets could fit inside it.
9.  Saturn has three wide rings. They can be seen with a telescope.
10. Uranus unlike the planets, is lying its side as it goes round the Sun.
11. Neptune is covered with a blue ocean of liquid methane.
12. The outer planets are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.
     - They are made of gasses.
     - Their temperature is too cold to support life.
13. The position of Earth from the Sun is just right for it to receive enough 
      heat to support life. It has water and air too. These are to support 
      life. The other planets either receive too little or too much heat.
      They also do not have a suitable atmosphere for living things to
      survive.
